 A spiritual and romantic experience just outside Gator County

Picture from a Dakotah Winery and VineyardsFamily-owned and operated, the Dakotah Winery and Vineyards is haven for both wine lovers and animals. The picturesque winery was established in 1985 with 200 grape vines. Today the Dakotah Winery is a 12-acre site with over 6,000 grape vines.

The ambiance of the Dakotah Winery is accentuated by the pond and bird sanctuary, which can be seen from the winery's deck. The pond and sanctuary are home to wood ducks, purple martins, hooded mergansers and other migratory birds, along with a variety of exotic fish.

The heart of the Dakotah winery is the vineyard. The muscadine grape, the vineyard's main grape , is native to Florida. The vineyard features over 30 varieties of muscadine grapes. Baby Doll sheep and Canada geese wander through the vineyard maintaining the vines. Their efforts ease the stress and workload of the owners.

The Dakotah Winery appeals to all types of wine drinkers, offering Chardonnay, Merlots and Cabernets, as well as Port and Cherry.

A visit to Dakotah winery provides an chance to buy wine and an opportunity for to experience nature firsthand.
